Back to School Pictures!!

It is time again for back to school photos!! We had so much fun taking the kids shopping for their back to school wardrobe! This year Jason and I took each child one at a time. We to them out to eat at the restaurant of their choice and enjoyed some one on one time together. It was so fun to see how each shopping experience was unique to the child. Than last weekend we went to an orchard took their back to school pictures. They are my favorite people to photograph!!

If you would like to see all of the photos from their back to school session you can check out the entire gallery here.

Allie was the first we took shopping. She loves to try on clothes but takes forever to do so because she is jabbering the entire time! When it comes to picking out what she wanted to keep and what we were putting back she was very worried about offending and would say "I am not saying that I don't like this shirt but I like this other shirt better."

Oh Miss Kassie! She was the fastest at trying on clothes. Our biggest challenge with her was that she is so dang skinny. She needs a super skinny jean so that it fits around her waist but is also long enough! She was getting some cute leggings and a denim skirt to go over it. The skirt was WAY to big in the waist so I was looking in the little girls section and found a size 4 on clearance (normally she wears a 7) I had her try it on and it fit great!

Mikele was so fun to shop with!! She looks great in every color and is willing to try anything. She can totally pull of these crazy pants. She also loves owls and picked multiple shirts with an owl on it.

Brock was probably the hardest to shop for and with. He was all about getting done! He is in between the boys section and the teen section. It is hard to find pants that are skinny enough in the waist but also long enough for his legs. His Sunday pants are a 16 slim. Do you know how hard it is to find a 16 slim anywhere? So we moved up to the teen stores and found 26 waist pants which still are a little big on him and a lot of stores don't carry that small of waist size. Brock survived and we did find some sharp looking clothes that he looks pretty great in if I do say so myself!!

Water Fun with Murdock Cousins!

Every summer Jenny and I try to get the kids together to play while Jenny and I get a chance to chat. It always seems like it is the last week of summer when we are trying to cram in our get together. Than we have so much fun and make big plans to do it more often the next summer. We are such optimist that next year summer won't be so crazy. Anyways this year we went to the pool in Roy. My friend Cindy introduced me to this fabulous pool that is never very busy and half way between my house and Jenny's. Perfect!

Allie intentionally turned her back to the camera and wanted the picture taken this way. Such a goof ball!

10 on the 10th - August

I actually am pretty good about taking pictures on the 10th but posting them is another story. So Brock has been enjoying the fact that he can sleep in. We often don't see his smiling face until after 10:00 am. It is going to be a rude awakening when school starts again.

My cuddle monster likes to climb in bed with me in the morning.

Working hard bringing home the bacon.

Lawn mowing day! Brock mowes the back back, Mikele the back and Kassie the front lawn.

Kassie loves listening to audio books on her ipod. She used some of her allowance money and bought herself a pair of headphones. This summer she listened to or read over 2,300 pages!!

Mikele is so happy that her best friend Morgan is back from a two week vacation. There may have been tears on more than one occasion while Morgan was gone.

With school just around the corner it was time to get the girls' semi-annual hair cuts. Kassie just trimmed the bottom but she did have Heather Rutledge cut her bangs.

Mikele also went with just a trim.

Allie had a trim too but what she was most excited about was getting her hair washed. When I made the appointment Allie made sure I told Heather she wanted a wash and a trim. When it was Alie's turn, she sat back in the chair and declared "This is going to feel so good!"

All cute and one step closer to being ready for school!
