The New Me

Some of you may have known that today was the big haircut day. I have worn my hair long for the last 4 1/2 years. I had wanted to cut it off and today I finally did it. Here is the before and after shots. What do you think?

The Tooth Fairy's First Visit

Brock lost his first tooth last Friday at movie night during Youth Conference. It had been loose all week and the new tooth was coming in so it was just a matter of time. I was really dreading the whole thing because I thought Brock would be a little bit freaked out about the whole thing but it went really well and fell out by itself with no stress or tears.
The only stress was that the Tooth Fairy almost forgot to stop by but luckily woke up and remembered at 4:00 in the morning.

No Training Wheels!

Last week we decided to take Mikele's training wheels off her bike. She had practically worn the training wheels out and after going on a bike ride to the library we felt she was ready. After a few laps around the church parking lot she had it! She was yelling at us to let go. She is a little reckless and has taken out fences, golf carts, parked vehicles, houses and curbs but is getting better. Sunday she crashed and ended up with a big fat lip and bump on the head. Luckily she crashed in front of our friend's house so they could help me bandage her up. I was afraid she had chipped or knocked out a tooth when she fell so I was great full that the damage was less sever.

Kassie Jean

I caught Kassie in the right mood for a little photo shoot. Could she be any more adorable if she tried? Kassie has so much personality and she makes sure that she gets her fair share of attention!

After each picture Kassie would run over and have to see it on the lcd screen of the camera. I had to be quick at taking the picture.

The Tie

My Dad come to Logan to spend Father's Day with us. This was really important because I had this amazing tie made for him and I wanted to give it to him in person. We couldn't go to Blackfoot because it was high council Sunday and I was speaking with a member of the stake presidency in another ward.

Brock almost gave it away. He thought it was really funny and was excited to give Papa the tie.

Needless to say, my Dad got a big kick out of the tie. I of course made him wear it proudly to church.

Catch Up Time!

So as you can see, I have a little catching up to do! So here you go, the following 8 posts recap most of May and what has happened so far in June. I am all caught up now!! Enjoy!!

The Young Entrepreneurs

At our garage sale we set the kids up with a concession stand to keep them busy. They sold laffy taffy, bubble gum and suckers for 10 cents and milk boxes, juice boxes and rice crispy treats for 50 cents. They made out like bandits and made $40!!!

My Dress-up Princess

My Mom picked up this hat and boa at a second hand store for Mikele. When I was cleaning out the storage for our garage sale I ran across them again. Mikele was so cute dressed up so I had to take some pictures.

The Uncle Denny Fan Club

We have an Uncle Denny fan club at our house. Who can blame the kids when they receive such fun gifts in the mail! Thank you Uncle Denny for your generosity!!!

Soccer!

Brock played soccer again this year. He really enjoyed playing. He isn't a very aggressive player but he does enjoy it and that is what counts! His team did really good and had a winning season.

My 28th Birthday!

Yes I am really that young! For my birthday Jason bought me a new bike. I was really excited and with the price of gas I have full intention of utilizing my bike and bike trailer. Brock just mastered riding his bike without training wheels and so he is pretty good at keeping up.

Hogle Zoo

For Memorial Day weekend we took the kids to Hogle Zoo. We met up with Mat & Jenny's family and headed out to see the animals. We really debated on whether to go or not because the weather report was not anything to get excited about but it was perfect! Not to hot so the animals were active but not to cold so it was still enjoyable.

Why would you want to watch animals when you could look at these cute faces all day?

During lunch the kids climbed trees. A new hobby after climbing Grandpa Murdock's tree.

My favorite monkeys!

Last Day of 1st Grade

Brock completed 1st grade with flying colors! He was actually sad that school was over and is really going to miss his friends. I am so excited that summer vacation is finally hear. If we could just get the weather to cooperate we would be set! For the last day of school, Brock had a class party and then Ben (one of Brock's friends) and his mom invited us to go to McDonald's for lunch. I can't believe how fast Brock is growing up. He is learning so much and enjoys learning new things.

The school had a competition to see which class could run the most laps. The class in the lead were awarded the golden shoes to display in their classroom. Brock's class won! Brock ran laps every recess and he actually finished the 2000 lap! He is a running fool!

Mikele's Preschool Graduation

Mikele graduated from preschool this last month. We had a graduation ceremony at Mandy & Issacc's house then we headed to the fire station. It was lots of fun! Kassie really liked everything until the fireman put all of his gear on then she stuck real close to me.
