Look at My New Trick

Allie is 8 months old today! Yikes! She is a sweet baby that is rather content and easy going. That is as long as her tummy is full. She does roll over but only from her stomach to her back. She can scoot around on the floor but she only goes backwards. She blows great raspberries and is always smiling. She has also learned a new trick:
Allie isn't really into baby food. She will eat graham crackers and MY DOUBLE STUFFED OREOS!!!

You can tell she really feels bad about taking my Oreo.

Baby It May Be Cold But We Want To Play!!

Yes there is still snow on the ground and you really do need gloves, hats and coats to go outside but my kids are in desperate need of some fresh air and space to play. So they got out their bikes and went for a ride.

Of course we needed hot chocolate when we came in! On a side note. I swear over half of my pictures of Mikele her eye's are closed. Seriously girl stop blinking.

Valentines Day

All right so I know I have been neglecting my blogs like crazy. Sorry about that! I will make it up to you with lots of post over the next week. The first will be about Valentines day.

It isn't Valentines Day until we have received our package from Grammy!

Jason brought home gorgeous flowers from the Plant Peddler. The best place in town to buy flowers!!! He also always brings home a rose for each of the girls. They of course love having a flower in their room.
Thanks to 1:00 church we are able to enjoy a fabulous breakfast on Sunday mornings. The theme was pink with pink syrup and pancakes.
It was a SWEET day!

Happy Birthday Jason!

Another birthday has come and gone for my wonderful husband! I won't tell you how old he is but it is somewhere between dirt and rocks. j/k I think he had a nice day. He did have to work so that was normal but he did mention and appreciate all the text messages and comments on facebook. He came home from work to enjoy a fabulous dinner of lasagna, bread sticks and green salad. (he selected the menu of course). Then he opened his present and cards. Finally we had ice cream cake for dessert. I had to run to young womens so sadly he was left home to put the kids to bed.  Calvin and AnnMarie stopped by and kept Jason company until I got home.
Yes when you have that many candles you do feel like you are blowing out a small fire.

Jason putting the finishing touches on the fresh Creme Brulee from the Creme Brulee kit he got for his birthday. A gift we can all enjoy.

Crazy Hat Day

Brock and Mikele's school had another school pride week. This time it included a "Crazy Hat Day."  The kids had a good time wearing a hat to school that they wouldn't normally wear. Miekle's wasn't that crazy but it was cute and that should count for something. Brock's hat was cute and pretty funny. I was actually impressed that he wore it. He usually isn't in to drawing attention to himself but he had fun and the kids in his class thought his was the best "crazy" hat. On a side note- funny story about Mikele. We also had crazy hair day this week. You might recall a crazy hair day at the beginning of the school year. Mikele had her hair in 5 pigtails all over her head. Well this time when I asked her what we should do with her hair she told me "we should get really crazy and instead of just 5 pigtails we should have 11!" She ended up with 12! We are pretty wild if you ask me. P.S.S. I still couldn't talk Brock into letting me shave a smiley face on the back of his head. Maybe next year.

Mikele is very motherly! Sometimes this can honestly drive me crazy because she can take a perfectly happy and content baby and pick her up and carry her around. I honestly fear for Allie's life sometimes. Then she will put her back down and I will no longer have a perfectly content baby. On the other hand it is sometimes very helpful that I can rely on Mikele to help me out with Allie and Mikele is very good at including her little sisters in whatever is going on. So in this case if it crazy hat day at school then it is crazy hat day at home and both Kassie and Allie needed a crazy hat and to be included in the pictures.  Even Cooper (our dog) got in on this picture.
Well what can I say, she is just cute and I had to take her picture.

Neglecting My Blog for a Good Cause!

Ok, I know I have been neglecting my blog but it isn't because I have been sitting around catching up on my shows. As you know I love to scrapbook. Now sometimes we scrapbookers make some beautiful layouts without actually putting pictures on them.  I know it doesn't make a lot of sense but it happens. Well I got a little crazy and was cleaning out my scrapbook room and came across my "stack" of such layouts. So I decided that I could no longer give my club members a bad time about not putting pictures on their layouts if I too had such a stack. I headed straight to my computer and began selecting, cropping and ordering pictures for all of these layouts. Then once my pictures arrived I immediately attached those pictures to my layouts. Now all I need to do is finish the journaling and titles for these layouts and get them into my album.  I counted how many layouts and to my surprise and delight there were over 30! That is practically a whole album!

I also have been working on the layouts for my February workshop class.  Check them out on my scrapbooking blog and if you would like to attend email or call me today!
