Bunny Day

I realized that I never posted the part two of Easter that I promised. We celebrated bunny day on Saturday morning so Friday night we decorated eggs.  Brock and I had just got back from spending the week in Idaho working and I was frankly beat. Fortunetly Jason was willing to cover for me. The kids got their eggs all colored and ready for the Easter bunny.  Mikele and Brock also wrote the bunny a long note about how they wanted their eggs hid in really hard place. The Easter bunny obliged. We had a great morning finding eggs, enjoying family time. It was great to be home and spend the weekend together as a family.

Spring Break

Jason and I are involved in an investment property. We are taking a 3 story building and remodeling it into 15 apartments, 4 business offices and about 12 storage units. Over Spring Break Brock and I stayed in Blackfoot to work on cleaning out the building. Jason took the girls home and worked there. (Jason couldn't help with the clean out of the building because his incisions from his recent surgery were not healed yet.) I was excited about the time I was going to spend with just Brock, the break from the emotional drama of 3 girls and the opportunity to do some physical labor. Call me crazy but I like to work and find it very rewarding. Here are a few pictures that show the progress.

We removed most of the derby by sending it down a metal shoot that we made.

I am excited to see this project make progress. I will be ecstatic when it is finished and we have the building rented out!

Easter

  It was a beautiful wonderful Easter Sunday. Our church meetings were wonderful, the sun was shining and my kids looked very cute in their new Easter cloths.  I informed the family on the way to church to be ready for a photo shoot after church.  They all were pretty good natured about the whole thing. Our Last Pinewood Derby

Brock had his last Pinewood Derby as a cub scout. We were crazy busy the couple of weeks leading up to it. Jason has been teaching two nights a week and our Saturdays have been filled with other commitments. When it came down to it there was just not any time to build a new car so I suggested that Brock take his old car and do a few modifications that would make it faster. Well it worked. Brock's faster car from last year did really well winning many of his races. In fact his car took 3rd over all. Brock was ecstatic because he liked the 3rd place trophy and matchbox car the best.

When they are not fighting. . .

. . . they can be pretty sweet.  I came in to put blankets on a few nights ago and I found Allie snuggled up in bed with Kassie.  It was so cute especially after a day of refereeing disagreements. I told them to stay there and ran to grab my camera. You have to capture these moments on camera so that you can remind yourself and them that they do love each other. Kassie was doing a good job telling Allie and her baby a story while they waited for me.

Brock got Married!

 Ok not really. Brock's school class went on a field trip to Tree House Museum and I was able to go with him. I am glad I did to witness this historic event. The class performed a Tall Tale. Brock was Davey Crockett and found himself in a predicament with some crazy growing trees.

He was rescued by non other then Sally Super Women I can't remember the rest of her name. 

 Brock, I mean Davy, was so impressed he went into town and found out all he could about Sally. It was love. So he proposed and Married her on the spot.

 After the wedding we moved to another section of the museum and printed our very own copies of the Deceleration of Independence. 

 We also learned a little more about the presidents of the United States.

Then we had a little free time to explore the rest of the children's museum.  My group of boys were excited to pay homage to our new King Andrew. We left the museum and headed for a near by park where we enjoyed the sunshine and lunch. Then it was back to school. I am so grateful that I have luxury of being able to attend field trips with my kids. It is always a lot of fun. 

Grammy's V-day Package

  Obviously I am doing a little catch up on blog posts. This is very important because when I actually scrapbook these pictures years from now (yes I am that far behind. More then likely so are you so I know I am in good company ;) I refer back to these blog posts for my journaling.
  Anyways. The kids received their valentines day package from Grammy. Obviously some get more excited then others but perhaps it was because she didn't understand what was inside that brown envelope. The kids loved their treats and toys. The girls needed little coin purses and Brock always loves the airplanes. I think I was only pegged in the head once. Allie also enjoyed her coloring book. Thank you Grammy for the package!

Crazy Hair Day

It was school spirit week a few weeks ago at the Elementary. I have to say I thought we did pretty good on the Crazy hair thing. 

For Mikele's hair we pulled it up over a cup and added profuse amounts of hair spray. It actually stayed up pretty good. She did say it wasn't very comfy to have a cup on her head. 

Brock wanted his hair shaved into a Mohawk. I honestly have been trying for yours to get him to let me do something like this for crazy hair day but he has always said no so I was pretty excited when it was his idea.
