2009 Came in with a ROAR!

What a crazy couple of weeks. We started the month off with potty training! I have potty trained all of my kids the week after Christmas because I am home I don't have car pool and usually we are done traveling for the holidays. Kassie started off really well and then we experienced major constipation! It was brutal! But thanks to a little product called MiraLAX she is doing better. She will only go on the regular toilet which is great not to have to clean out the little potty but she also wants company every time she goes. She isn't having any accidents but a lot of false alarms. She even stays dry through her naps and the night Then poor Kassie caught a bad cough and cold and is just not feeling well. So today we are hanging out at home while Jason, Brock and Mikele are at church.
Brock is back in school and loving it! I was able to go help his class make brownies on Friday. We had such a fun time. Brock is just a great kid. He says the funniest things too! Before Christmas he told Jason that he .needed to talk to him privately. He was so excited about this great idea he had. He told Jason, "Dad you need to go to "Jared's" and buy mom a bracelet or necklace!" If you are not from Utah this might not make sense but "Jared's" is a jewelry store and their advertising slogan is "he went to Jared's." Brock was so excited about this amazing idea!
Mikele is also very excited to be back in preschool. She is zipping through their reading program. I am so proud of her. The teachers think she is great because she is friends with everyone and is so easy going. She got knocked down at school and the teachers expected her to cry or get upset. She just got up and continued with what she was doing. She is full of life and energy and is my big helper. She has her "mom voice" already. Watch out! The other day she chastized Brock. This is what she said, "Brock does it look like you cleared your plate and glass from the table? No, so get down here and fix it."
Well there is a little update from our neck of the woods. I don't even have any pictures to post because I haven't taken any. I will be better with that!

I am soooooo with you on the MiraLax - only thing that worked for Kelsey! what a miracle that little bottle is! love Brock's little quip about Jareds - you probably do deserve it after the potty training anyway! (we have them here too - I think they are taking over!) How great that Mikels is learning to read too - that's fantastic!
