Logan puts on its firework show on the 3rd and that works great. We weren't planning on going but last minute I changed my mind. The kids and I picked up Jason from his class and then met some friend who had the best seats we have ever sat at. It was a great show and I was glad we went. On the 4th Brock and Jason put up flags and then we loaded up and headed to Willow Flats to camp for the weekend. This place was fabulous! We will definitely be going back.
Jason challenged the kids to build boats with things they found in nature. He built a boat for Kassie and Allie while Brock and Mikele teamed up to build their boat.
On Friday after breakfast we hiked up to where the water comes out of the mountain to feed the stream that runs through camp. It was a gorgeous shady hike. There is a longer hike to a lake that we are planning on taking next time. We were so proud of Allie. She made it the whole way up and back on her own two feet.
A storm came through Friday evening. We were dumped on so retreated into the trailer. I had taught Mikele how to play Sudoku and she is a huge fan! She taught Brock how to play while we were waiting out the storm. Allie entertained herself by stealing Jason's hat and climbing all over us.
Kassie played cards.
After the storm passed the sunset was GORGEOUS! This picture doesn't even do it justice.
This whole camping business is really tough on Allie. She has a hard time relaxing don't you think?
My kids are so goofy! For whatever reason they decided that it was easier to drink out of the cooler directly from the spigot rather then use a cup or water bottle.
