Valentines Day

I thought I should throw up a few photos from Valentines Day. We had a fun holiday. Brock had a party at school. He loved all the cards and treats.

Jason sent his favorite girls roses. Mikele kept her rose in her room on her shelf on the wall and was really upset when it died and we had to throw it away. The kids each got a stuffed animal and box of chocolates from Jason and I.

But as always the highlight is getting Grammy's package.

8 Things About Kassie

Kassie was tagged by Makenna.

1. Kassie has a birthmark on her bum

2. Kassie has a fetish for things on her head. She likes towels, headbands, hats and anything else she can put on her head.

3. Kassie loves to wrestle with Brock and Mikele. She thinks it is a fun game to get people. She usually targets the head.

4. Kassie is the first of my children to be a mamma's girl instead of a daddy's boy/girl.

5. Kassie can be a pain in the butt. (Jason suggested that one) Really she has two emotions. Mad and screaming because she didn't get what she wanted or completely goofy and adorable.

6. Kassie was due on Jason & My anniversary. Jason gave me strict instructions to have her early so that we could celebrate her birthday and then run away for our anniversary. Fortunately Kassie agreed and came on the 5th of November

7. Kassie really likes to spin in circles and make herself dizzy. I don't know why she just does it a lot.

8. Kassie loves hand towels. My hand towel is never hanging up because Kassie is always stealing it. She usually wears it on her head and when she is done throws it on the floor. Then when I need it I have to search the house for it.

Jason's Birthday

I would say how many years but it is depressing. j/k I love the old guy no matter how old he gets. Although I was out of town on the official day we had a great party the day after. Here are some picture highlights.

There was a little payback action going on with these birthday cards!!!

Jason can still GQ it when he has to. I bought him new sunglasses that clip onto his glasses. His old ones were so scratched up they gave him headaches.

Las Vegas & My Most Recent Creations

This last weekend I was able to attend the Close To My Heart Regional Celebration in Las Vegas Nevada. It was 2 fun filled days with business classes and art classes. I came back excited about CTMH, exhausted (we didn't go to bed until the wee hours of the morning) and full of new business and art ideas. During the crop I finished a layout spotlighting Bree & James' wedding. I still need to add the title and journaling but I thought I would show it off. I was happy with how it turned out. I am almost done with all of my 2005 pictures. (I am a little behind)

We have 9:00 am church and Jason has all of his meetings after church now so he is gone until about 5:00. So while Kassie is sleeping and Brock & Mikele are playing I have been working on our scrapbooks. It has been fun to have time set aside to work. Mikele is my favorite scrapbooking buddy and has her own stuff so sometimes she works with me. I recently finished these other layouts.

What is your favorite thing about him? Everything. He is so loving and dedicated to our relationship. He would do anything for me and is my very best friend. When we first got married I was having a rough night and was just emotional and upset and overwhelmed with life and giving up my name and everything and I told him,"I don't even have a place to hang my robe" The next day I came home to find a new hook in the bathroom for my robe. That was a huge turning point for me. I knew that he was and will always be completely devoted to me. It is the small and simple things that make all the difference.

Calvin's Wedding

It was a typical Murdock weekend. We had a wedding, a reception, a birthday party and a baby blessing all in two days. So I split the pictures up among 3 posts. So here is the wedding pictures:

The kids were a little disappointed that they didn't get to go to the sealing. After being able to go into the temple last week we had to explain why they couldn't go today.

It appears to me that we have another snow lover. We made snow cones at preschool two weeks ago and since then I can't keep Mikele out of the snow. She loves to eat it.

Mikele was the unofficial flower girl. She loved every part of this wedding thing. She spent most of the evening standing with Calvin and AnnMarie. She couldn't get enough of AnnMarie's dress.

Well the kids got a little bored at the reception so they found boxes and became box robots. It was pretty funny. They kept bumping into each other.

We are so excited to have AnnMarie in our family. She is so amazing and we are glad to pass the responsibility of taking care of Calvin to her. j/k Calvin. We love you!

The Blessing

As mentioned, we had a busy weekend. While we were all together Krisy and Adam decided to bless their new baby Parker on Saturday while we were all together. He is adorable!!!

Everyone got a chance to hold Parker even if they didn't want to.

Kassie really liked Parker. We have taken away her pacifier and when she saw Parkers you could just see the wheels turning. "Hum, I remember that and I think I really liked it."

Mikele was so sweet with Parker. She is such a great big sister and cousin.

The Birthday Party

We had a lot of fun celebrating Jenny's ** birthday. We had cheesecake and snacks and played a great game of Hand & Foot.

What is a birthday party without balloons.

Jenny and I were both fighting over who got to take Adam home. He is a great babysitter.

Legos are the popular toy at Papa & Grandma's house. Even Papa gets into it.

Rexburg Temple Open House

This last weekend we had the privileged of taking the kids to the Rexburg LDS Temple open house. What a great experience. Here are some pictures from out trip. These shots are taken outside the temple. It was pretty foggy and cold but it was totally worth it.

A Sister's Love

Mikele is my child without a personal bubble. She loves hugs and cuddles and if you are sitting she wants to be right on your lap never just beside you. She told me once that sometimes she just has so many hugs that they just fall out of her. Her affection towards Kassie is no exception. Kassie doesn't always appreciate her big sister's love. But every once in a while Kassie enjoys a good squeeze from her Mikele.
