Halloween

Halloween has gone from a one day holiday to a week long event.  The kids started dressing up on Friday at the ward trunk or treat. I was out of town at a retreat so Jason took the kids. He didn't get any pictures but he did have them all there in costumes on time so I am going to forgive him on the pictures. Then the kids dressed up on Monday for their school/preschool parties. After school we went over to Jason's work to trick or treat around his office.  Our van was giving us problems and wouldn't start again so we took a break from the festivities to sit in the car for over an hour while Jason went and got a new battery and installed it. It was under warranty so it wasn't to terribly expensive. We finally made it home so we could eat dinner and head out trick or treating.  I love that we can take the kids good old fashion door to door trick or treating.  Here are pictures of the kids in their costumes.

Harry Potter. (Brock just finished reading the 4th book) Brock is still enjoying his candy almost 2 weeks later.

Bunny (Allie was actually a butterfly at the trunk or treat and earlier in the day but her wings made it hard for her to get buckled into her car seat so she decided she wanted to be a bunny the rest of the night.) Allie's candy was gone in 2 days.

Our black cat.  Still has a little bit of candy left but not much.

Our adorable little princess. Kassie's candy is long gone!

Victory! That is one heavy bucket! In fact we ended up with over 11 pounds of candy!

Jason dressed up as Clint. A guy he works with. It is an inside joke so I will let him explain it to you.

What an adorable group and they are all mine.  I didn't dress up this year. Frankly I haven't had time to even think about a costume. I just got back from a scrapbooking retreat on Saturday, took a friend's senior pictures and we turned around and drove back to Salt Lake to watch the RSL soccer game. I will need to post pictures of that next but they are on Jason's phone. Anyways we had a great Halloween and enjoyed the  pleasant weather, seeing neighbors and all the chocolate!

What adorable kids! Fun costumes. Our van broke down on Halloween too, except it we weren't so lucky to have an inexpensive fix.
