German Pancakes

When my Mom came and stayed with the kids while I was at the hospital she introduced my kids to German Pancakes. They have become a favorite at my house. Jason requested that we have them that weekend when he was home to enjoy a good breakfast and since then we have had them almost once a week. It is a good thing they are quick and easy! Here is the recipe:

German Pancakes

6 Eggs
1 cup milk
1 cup flour
1/2 tsp salt
3 Tlb butter

Whip eggs until thick. Add milk, flour and salt. Mix. Melt butter in a 9 x 13 inch pan. (I put the pan with the butter in the oven while it is preheating) Poor egg mixture into the pan. Sprinkle with cinnamon. Bake at 450 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes. I serve this with cinnamon cream or you could top with the syrup of your choice.

So, could you post your cinnamon cream recipe as well? I know you have given it to me before, but who knows where it is now...

We LOVE German pancakes at our house. I grew up calling them that, but Sean always called them Puffed Up Eggs, which really makes more sense, and that name has stuck in our marriage. The kids ask for them all the time. We have them at least once a month.
