Denver Trip Part 2: The Sites

On our first dull day in Denver we took the kids to the Children's Museum. It was great to let the kids explore, play and be kids! 

One of the great things about Denver is the mild weather!  It was sunny and gorgeous outside so we spent quite a bit of time at the play ground outside the Children's Museum.

Allie was refusing to leave the park.  She LOVES slides!

On our second day we took the kids to a indoor waterpark.  The kids were hesitant to go down the water big tube slide but we require them to try things once.  With 20 minutes before we were leaving the water park I reminded Brock that he either had to swim the width of the lap pool or try the slide.  He opted to try the slide.  We went down it together a couple of times and then I sent him alone while I went down the slide with Mikele. Kassie and Allie wanted to both go down so I took Allie with me and Kassie went with Jason  which left  Mikele on her own.  Well the kid all LOVED the slide. So for the last 20 minutes the kids took as many trips down the slide as they could!  Thank goodness there was no line. We had to drag them away.

After we got home the 3 older kids and Jason quickly showered and got ready to head to the zoo to meet Andrew, Amy, Reece and Betsy.  Allie and I stayed at the motel so Allie could take a nap. The animals were active and enjoying the spring like day.

Another highlight of our trip was that we were able to meet our new cousin Rachel for the first time.  Mikele loves babies and was so excited to hold Rachel.

Like every good trip eventually you have to go home :(  We made good time and the weather was gorgeous for our drive home.  We of course stopped at Little America for 50 cent ice cream cones and to stretch our legs.  We also took a picture by the dinosaur that we stopped at last time we went to Denver.
